David Fishwick is a local Burnley business man that has turned himself into a self made millionaire and is currently the largest supplier of minibuses within the UK with his headquarters being based in Colne. Here at Weblinx, we are lucky enough to have a long standing relationship with David Fishwick. Within the time working with David, we have carried out SEO, web design and development work on his minibus websites getting him to page one.

In order to open up his bank, David needed a website so that he could provide people with information about the services that he is going to be offering, along with his contact details and the terms and conditions of his services. To set up this website, David Fishwick came to us and asked us to create a website that was easy to navigate and helped customers apply for loan online. Once the website was up and running, we then implemented the SEO on the site to ensure it was easily found through the search engines. David’s TV Programme – Bank of Dave

David is fed up with the high street bankers who are not giving any opportunities to the local businesses of Burnley and surrounding towns, or the loyal customers who are wanting to further their business but are unable to due to lack of finance. To combat high street bankers, Dave is opening up his own bank called “Burnley Saving and Loans” using the slogan “Bank on Dave!” to avoid any possible lawsuits. By going back to the traditional methods of banking, David is hoping to make a difference within the area. This is being done by having personal meetings with clients rather than using online algorithms, to determine whether a customer is eligible for a loan. By doing this he is aiming to prove that he can make a difference by lending people the money that they need and for the bank to turn a profit within 180 days (6 months), any profits that are made from this will be donated across local charities. All of this is going to be documented on Channel 4 in a series of episodes that began broadcasting yesterday at 9PM, followed by a second series which will be out later this year.
