Party Lights came to us with a list of keywords that they wanted to be on page 1 of Google for. We took the list and checked to ensure the correct keywords had been chosen to optimise for based on the number of searches each keyword received monthly, and found a number of other variations which would supply Party Lights website with traffic. The new list of keywords was sent to the client to make sure they were happy before we began optimising the website for each keyword.

To begin the optimisation of the website we first documented which keywords would be targeted for each page on the website using the list of keywords confirmed by the client. This was done to make sure search engines wouldn’t become confused with which page should be ranked for each keyword. Once happy with the plan, we began optimising a number of areas on each page; the title, meta description, meta keywords, headings, internal linking and content. The titles had previously been optimised before our involvement, but these needed to be restructured as chosen keywords weren’t embedded within the website.

Since we began optimising the website they have been found on page 1 for a number of keywords which have helped improve their conversion rate. This has encouraged them to renew every year since being involved with us and in 2011 commissioned for a further selection of keywords to be optimised for.
