SEO can only get you so far in this new media age and should you hit a block, it might be worth expanding your online presence across the various social media platforms. To be honest, any company operating on the internet should make use of social media, simply because it’s such a powerful tool if used correctly. It can be used to expand your audience across a massive scale, allowing for a wider target area for your products or services. Weblinx have always had social media accounts but with the recent boon in the industry, we’ve decided to expand on them to increase our overall exposure.
Our social media presence previously only existed across Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. This was all well and good but we weren’t really making full use of the platforms we had at our disposal. Our accounts remained quite dormant with very little interaction and this went on for quite some time before we decided to have a meeting about it. Following the conference, we came up with a new social media strategy and started the new project. We had to start with research…. a lot of research. The internet marketing developers at the company spent hours on end researching and developing social media strategies until we had something solid to work from.
Yesterday, we held a conference involving the company’s technical team to discus to findings of our research and commune with the directors to inform them of our proposals for the company’s social media presence. After the discussion, specific roles were designated to individuals of the internet marketing development team. The Weblinx social media profiles were then split up and the management was assigned to specific individuals of the internet marketing team.
Each person had to manage and market Weblinx appropriately across their social platform. In addition to this, we were given specific responsibilities for creating sharable and useful content, which we’re still waiting on now. The new strategy involves a lot of communication between team members and the directors. We want to ensure that we hit all areas of social media and so began with adapting the way we use our social media.
At this moment in time, we have social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest and YouTube. Our strategy involves active usage of all these accounts, utilising them in unique ways to take full advantage of what each social media site has to offer. Because the account management is split between team members, we’re able to ensure that all content we share is manually created and genuine. We’ve already had notable success through our Pinterest account. Each time we have updated it with a pin or board, there was a positive outcome. The positive outcome was in the form of either a like, repin or follow. This was the case each and every time we uploaded something which isn’t too bad at all considering the age of our account coupled with the low population on Pinterest.
In coming weeks and months, you should expect to see a lot more from Weblinx, particularly on the social media side. This is because we’re adapting and creating more for our customers. It is our aim that we create and share things that are truly useful to the user. Follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook, add us to your Google+ circles, connect with us on LinkedIn, watch us on YouTube or follow our boards on Pinterest to keep updated with all our developments.
